Press and hold the "Power" button on the upper surface of the unit for 3 sec to turn ON/OFF the night light. The power adapter for the air purifier is placed inside the mesh filter. If your apartment always smells like last night's dinner, you need to see this. I've had this air purifier for over a year and honestly, it's one of my favorite Amazon purchases. I originally bought it because my cat has asthma, and I wanted a way to keep the air cleaner without constantly using scents or plugins. But one of my favorite benefits is that it really helps lingering cooking smells. I cook almost every day and in my small apartment, food smells really linger. I've been using it for over a year and typically each new filter lasts about 3 months depending on the air flow strength. Look at the difference between the old filter and the new one. Changing the filter is super easy. Just pop the new one in, lock it back up, reset the filter reminder, choose your fan speed and you're done.
