I'm 28 years old and I'm not afraid to admit I have never left the country. The United States to be exact. But to be fair, I just never had my passport. For my first international trip I decided to go to the Bahamas. And being the genius I am, I totally forgot to bring a swimsuit. But ended up shopping and finding one for leaving the country. My favourite aspect of this trip was the Airbnb I stayed at. Don't get me wrong, I love resorts, but there's something about having a ton of space, a fridge and a microwave, washer and dryer that kinda makes you feel a little spoiled. This is by far one of the most peaceful places I've stayed at. I had to remind myself Talia, you came here to explore the Bahamas, not stay inside all day. You gotta work on your tan. Just kidding. I feel like this trip also taught me how to rest. Rest is spoken of so many times in the Bible. For example, I was reading Leviticus. God commanded the Israelites to give their land a whole year of rest. Every seventh year. Did you know a field that's not allowed to rest actually produces less? The Bible shows us productivity eventually destroys itself if there's no recovery. So take this as your sign to rest. For me it looks like booking a flight and relaxing at Tranquil Oasis, which I highly recommend. But whatever rest looks like to you Make sure it's a priority. As Ecclesiastes says, there's a time for everything.
