Baby's 'Fix-a-Flat' Head Shaping Journey

Austin's "Fix-A-Flat" Journey. Hey. Handsome. My little happy little silly little baby here is getting his helmet fitted for here in the next few weeks. So unfortunately he has a mal case of plagiocephaly where the plates in his head is causing his head to be a little flatter on one side and just looking at him straight up you wouldn't think anything wrong, but it's a little flatter here on this side. Which will cause some asymmetry as his features grow in his head gets bigger. So we're gonna nip it in the bud and get my poopy fitted for his helmet, his doc band and wear it for six to eight weeks. So it's not too bad. Um, but let's let's get to it cuz we got to get that baby hair right. We can't have no handsome baby with no funny shape head can we? Can we? Say no, no, no, no, no. Say no. You're already perfect, but you know, we want to make sure he has the best quality of life. So, um, yeah, but you know, whatever it takes, right? Whatever it takes. So, um, I can't even lie when we went to two month appointment and the doctor felt his head and felt it was a little flat on one side, um, and we went through the whole journey of just kind of repositioning him. I felt like it was something that I wasn't doing right or, you know, it wouldn't affect his brain development. All of these negative things, but once I learned more about it and understood that, you know, it's not something that I could have done better, it was just the way he was placed in my belly and the way he, you know, laid up in my belly and laid up in my belly and, you know, black people don't play about shaping their baby's head. So definitely always shaping all my babies' heads as soon as they came out. But I didn't know that he would roll when he was sleeping on his side to one side and that could have, you know, contributed to it. But we were just at, um, re-positioning at two months. Went back at four months and they can still, um, it being a little rounder on one side, flatter on the other. So definitely went in for my consultation with cranial technologies and they did the whole imaging and we were able to see exactly, you know, where the asymmetry was happening. And it's just something that we want to nip in the bud. So that way our baby is just as perfect, you know, he's already perfect, but, you know, we want to make sure he has the best quality of life. So, um, we're going to be paying out of pocket for his helmet and the appointment and imaging and all of that stuff. Um, roughly about 2500 to $3,000.
