National Go Sk8 Day in Downtown Cleveland, OH

Yesterday was downtown Cleveland, Ohio's Go Skate Day, and it was a legendary honor to be able to take over the streets with the homes once again. Like literally, I met a whole lot of new homes yesterday and all the homes that I've met over the years through skating. And if you ask me my favorite thing about skate culture and everything around it, same thing I like about 420. It's the fact that it brings out so many different kinds of people. Black people, white people, Asian, Hispanic, not even to be about a race thing, but it's like so many different backgrounds and sources of creativity tapping into each other and coming together to just be to just be together, be a community. Look at it. If you had a broken board, somebody could help you out. If you had a loose wheel, somebody had a skate tool for you. If you needed water, somebody damn there would have went to the store for you. So it was like there's not that many things that I just be seeing can bring out the whole community like skateboarding does. That's why I just appreciate it so much. And it really didn't matter if you were a new skater or hello experienced. As long as you brought good energy and vibes, that's all it really matters. Like I've been skating for about five years now myself, and I'm just now getting down the ollies. So, yeah, it was cool to see like, you know, everybody was willing to meet you wherever you are. And it was even more respected if you showed up as you are. And that's another thing I really fuck with about skateboard. Shout out to Juicy Jarod. Shout out Jalen Willis. Every year as always, Red Bull and every other sponsor. Appreciate y'all. Always. And the police kept chasing us around with nothing better to do. And that kid was like, hell nah. Look at him go. But that was a brave little homie on a skateboard. Shout out to Cleakers.
