Recession = NO lay-off proof jobs If you're looking for a job but you're really worried about getting laid off and you just want a stable position, you should look for jobs in these industries because they are recession proof. Meaning it doesn't matter what happens in the economy, you will always have a job. Number one Healthcare. It doesn't matter what happens in the economy, people are always gonna get sick, die, need care and this doesn't mean that you have to be a nurse or a doctor. You can apply for jobs in huge healthcare systems. They have a lot of positions and you will never get laid off. Number two. Insurance. No matter what happens in the economy, people need insurance.
