BEST JAPANESE FOOD IN LONDON?!If my face doesn't tell you how good the food wasI don't know what will. This is hotori in Holbornand they are known forthe yakitori and/or lunch sets.I feel like the lunch menuis seriously underrated. This tomato dish to trythat's gonna be on the summer menu soon.I know it doesn't look like muchbut you must get it 'cause likeit was sweet, tangy, fresh. It was a pickled tomato.I also didn't know tomatoes can be green.I also got thissashimi starter with ponzu sauce and spring onion. Now again, I was shockedat how insanely fresh the fish was.Just as I thought it couldn't get any betterthis pork ramen changed my lifethe pork was so tender. It practically dissolves the second it hits. But the flavour it bringsI've never tasted pork like thisand the brothit wasn't heavy or greasy. It was clear, lightbut packed with flavour that builds as you eat.I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese ramenbut this changed my mind. The pork katsu bento came with miso soup and rice. The pork was so tenderand juicy and it was crispy.Like I filmed this after 20 minutesof getting it and the outside was super crispy. And it came with the homemade tonkatsu sauce. And all I will say is I devoured it after all that food.Honestly, I feel like the chefthought about everythingand everything just feltreally intentional.I'm not gonna lie. This is the best Japanese foodI've ever had in my life in London.
