Book Recommendations for reading slumps I guarantee you that these eight books will get you out of your reading slump. The number one genre that I'm gonna recommend for any reading slump is thrillers. The Housemaid by Freida McFadden is obviously a very popular thriller that a lot of people love. But my personal favorite from Freida McFadden is Never Lie. I think that these are two super fast-paced, easy to read books that will get you out of your reading slump. I'm not really sure that this book exactly qualifies as a thriller, but it is really interesting and fast-paced. And there is a really big plot twist, so I think this would be a really good one to get you out of your reading slump. Really short, easy to read, that is a classic is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. From the beginning of the book, you're gonna be so invested in the story that you just won't wanna stop reading it. If you're looking for a book with romance, I would recommend The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston. There is some magical realism in this book that I think adds to the depth of the story. Then I have Better Than the Movies by Lynn Painter. This is just a really cute ROM-COM book. I will say that this book does have some long chapters, so if that's gonna put you in a reading slump, then I would maybe skip this one. But the story is just so cute and wholesome that it is so easy to read in one sitting. Lastly, for some reason, sad books really do it for me and always get me out of a reading slump. The two books that I recommend is The Way I Used to Be by Amber Smith and If He Had Been with Me by Laura Nowlin. The Way I Used to Be is one of my absolute favorite books of all time. There's something about sad books that just get me super invested in the characters, and I usually read them in one sitting. So these are two that I think are perfect if you're in a reading slump. These are the eight books that I recommend. We have a classic, thrillers, romance and heartbreaking fiction. Let me know if these books helped you get out of your reading slump. Happy reading.
