Can we normalize talking about this? Sometimes when you finally meet a genuine person, you don't feel butterflies, you feel suspicious. You start questioning their kindness because life has taught you that good things don't usually last. The saddest part is that they haven't done anything wrong. They're just exposing wounds you never realized were still healing. I completely agree. You overanalyze simple acts of kindness. They text back quickly and you wonder what they want. They keep their word and you're waiting for the day they disappoint you. Mhm. I felt that. The irony is that healing isn't just learning how to walk away from toxic people. It's learning how to stay when someone is actually treating you well. Sometimes the biggest challenge isn't recognizing red flags, it's believing that green flags are real. Wow, that's powerful. I have a feeling more people struggle with this than we admit. So be honest with me. Have you ever pushed away a good person because your past made it hard to trust? I'd love to hear your thoughts. And I'll see you in the next episode of her voice.
