What NOT to sell in your online store... If you're thinking about starting an online store, let's talk about what NOT to sell first. Because not every product is a good one. Too easy to find. If I can walk into any supermarket and buy it. Probably no. Huge, heavy or fragile. Absolutely no. Sizing = returns. And clothing, I love clothing, but between sizing, returns, and exchanges...it gets complicated really fast. And that's not to say don't start an online clothing store, just buyer beware. So what should I look for? Something small, lightweight, solves an obvious problem. And here's a good rule of thumb. If it's $15 or less, but can sell for 3 times the price or more, that's a great product. And bonus points if somebody sees it on TikTok and immediately says "Wait... I need that." createmystore.ai actually walks you through this entire process before you build your store. So what makes a good product, what to stay away from, and where to find a supplier. Building an online store is one thing. Finding a product that people actually want to buy is another.
