Did you know that Père Lachaise Cemetery, created in 1804 by Napoleon Bonaparte, is now the most visited cemetery in the world? Here rest more than 70,000 people, including Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde. Between history, art and legends, it is a true open-air museum. Today, Père Lachaise spans 44 hectares, roughly the equivalent of 62 football fields, and welcomes more than 3 million visitors each year. You can also find the famous statue of Victor Noir. According to the legend, touching his statue would bring luck in love and fertility.
