POV: you found your favorite lip blush artist in Sacramento, CA So I'm about to get lip blush with Ari from different strokes tattoos. She has such amazing work and I'm so excited. I've been wanting to get this done for a while now. I've been wanting to feel more confident and more feminine in myself, especially when I'm like not wearing any makeup. It's giving... It's perfect for defining and just adding more to what you already have, cause I've been considering lip filler, but I'm a little scared to that commitment. And lip blush lasts much longer and it has really nice results. So let's go inside and start the process. Ari was so amazing to work with. They're so sweet. She walked me through the process, answered all of my questions, and was so great with discussing and understanding what my wants and needs were with getting lip blush. I was definitely a bit nervous because this is my first tattoo, but Ari made this process super enjoyable. So to start, Ari mapped out my lips to create the perfect outline for the tattoo. And now it's time to pick the color. I definitely wanted to go with something more natural but berry toned to compliment my skin color. It's so pretty. And yeah, I'm definitely liking this swatch test. Now it's time for the best part. Honestly, I was so scared it was going to hurt a lot, but it really wasn't that bad. It only hurt a little bit during the first pass of the lips before the numbing cream was applied. But after the numbing cream, the next few passes of the needle didn't feel like much. And after a couple hours, it's all done. Oh my goodness, isn't this the cutest aftercare package? So this is what my lips looked like right after the appointment. Yes, the swelling is completely normal. But look at this color. I'm obsessed. And here's what they look like the day after. As you can see, the swelling went down significantly and the color is starting to fade into its final color, which will continue as it heals. Stay tuned to see the healing process and final results in a few weeks after my touch up session.
