Niche Not Matching Available Deals? Here's Why

My niche is set but the deals don't match

If you have picked a niche — pets, skincare, fitness — and the deals in Direct Deals look unrelated, nothing is broken. Here is what your niche actually controls.

Direct Deals is not filtered by your niche

Every creator sees the same list of open deals. Direct Deals shows everything that is currently live, in the same order, for everyone — it is not a personalised feed, so seeing deals outside your niche is expected rather than a fault.

What your niche does there is add a "Matches your niche" badge to deals that line up with the niches saved on your profile. When the list is sorted by newest, badged deals are nudged slightly higher. That is the whole effect — no deal is ever hidden from you because of your niche.

Where your niche really matters

Your saved niches decide which new-deal emails and push notifications you receive. When a brand publishes a campaign, we only notify creators whose saved niches overlap that campaign's niche. Two consequences worth knowing:

  • If your profile has no niches saved, you can be left out of those notifications entirely.
  • If your saved niches are narrow, you will hear about fewer campaigns — even though you could still apply to all of them from Direct Deals.

So if relevant deals are not reaching your inbox, the fix is usually your profile, not the deals list.

What you can do

  1. Check your niches in Settings. Open Settings and find Content niches. It is a multi-select — pick every niche you genuinely create in, not just one.
  2. Add a second niche if your content fits more than one category, such as beauty and wellness, or pets and lifestyle. More niches means more campaigns can reach you.
  3. Browse Direct Deals in full rather than waiting for notifications. Everything open is already visible to you.
  4. Keep checking back. Brands post and close campaigns all the time, so there may simply be few open deals in your niche today.
  5. Pitch brands yourself with the Outreach Engine, which is part of a paid plan, instead of waiting for inbound deals.
