Can You Be a Faceless or Beginner Creator?

Do you have to show your face or be experienced?

These are two of the most common questions from new creators. Here is what the platform actually requires.

Showing your face

Nothing in the sign-up, portfolio or application requirements asks you to be on camera. The portfolio checks look for a full name, a profile photo, at least one niche, at least one social link and at least three videos — none of them checks whether you appear in the videos.

What a brand wants is decided by that brand, in its own job post. Job posts can list requirements such as age, gender and turnaround time, so read the post before you apply and answer its questions honestly.

The one place being on camera matters is the optional verification video in Settings. It is how you get the verified badge: record 30 to 60 seconds, be on camera, say your name, and briefly mention brands you have worked with. It is separate from your portfolio, and you can sign up and apply to deals without it.

Being a beginner

You do not need past brand work or professional experience to join. Your portfolio can include self-made sample videos — content you created to show your style, even if no brand paid for it. Brands review your portfolio and decide whether your content fits.

What to focus on

  • A complete portfolio: profile photo, your niche, at least one social link, and at least three videos.
  • Content that suits the brand's niche and style.
  • Clear answers to the brand's application questions.

Getting started without experience

  1. Pick a niche you are comfortable creating content in.
  2. Record two or three sample videos in that niche — product reviews, tutorials or lifestyle clips all work.
  3. Add them to your portfolio and publish it.
  4. Apply to deals that match your niche. Applying is free and needs no subscription.

Brands choose their own applicants, and there is no guaranteed response or reply deadline, so keep applying rather than waiting on one deal.
