Getting started

Getting Started on UGC Roster: A Quick Overview

UGC Roster connects creators with brands that pay for short-form video content. You make the content; the brand pays you. Here is the path from sign-up to your first hire.

The basic flow

  1. Create a free account at ugcroster.com. A creator account is free and stays free — there is also an iOS app.
  2. Build your portfolio. Go to My Portfolio and add a profile photo, your niche, a social link, and at least three videos. Sample videos you made yourself count, and you do not need past brand work.
  3. Browse deals. Open Direct Deals in the sidebar or visit ugcroster.com/ugc-jobs. Both are free.
  4. Apply. Pick a deal, add your name and at least one social handle, answer the brand's questions, and submit. No subscription needed.
  5. Get hired. The brand reviews applicants and chooses who they want. There is no reply deadline built into the platform and no guaranteed response, so keep applying to several deals rather than waiting on one. Nobody at Roster can place you with a brand or promise you a deal.
  6. Do the work. Once a brand hires you, My Jobs, Campaigns, Briefs, Contracts and Deliverables appear in your sidebar. Read the brief, sign what the brand sends, and submit your videos for review.
  7. Set up your payout account. A Payouts tab appears once you have been hired. Most brands pay you directly and record it on Roster. Payment amounts and timing are agreed between you and the brand — the platform sets no schedule and no dates.

Do you need to pay anything?

No subscription is needed to apply for deals or build your portfolio. A paid plan unlocks the Outreach Engine, which lets you pitch brands from a large database — useful for reaching more brands faster, but not required to get hired.

You never send money to anyone

Money only flows from brands to creators. There is no wallet, deposit or top-up anywhere in the product. If anything ever asks you to pay a brand or deposit funds, that is not how Roster works — report it immediately via the in-app support widget (bottom-right).

What to do first

Publish your portfolio, then open Direct Deals and apply to every deal that fits your niche. Payout setup comes later, once a brand hires you.

New to UGC Roster?

Creators find paid brand deals and automate outreach. Brands post campaigns and hire vetted UGC creators.
