How to Complete Your Onboarding Levels and Tasks

Two separate checklists

• Getting started — three steps: complete your profile, build your portfolio, send your first pitch.
• Levels — Level 1 to Level 10 in your sidebar. Every task in a level must be finished before the next unlocks.

Level 1: complete your profile, connect your email, add 3 portfolio pieces, send your first outreach email.

What counts as a portfolio piece

Videos and images both count, as long as each item has a media link attached and is saved on your portfolio page. Videos uploaded during profile setup live on your profile, not your portfolio, so they never reach this counter.

Why a task can still show as incomplete

• Not saved yet. Work only lands on your portfolio when you finish with Save or Publish.
• A link pasted without https://. The simple editor silently skips any link it can't read as a full web address. Re-paste the full link starting with https://.
• The page hasn't refreshed. Progress recalculates when the dashboard loads and again after a pitch is marked as sent. An automatic recalculation also runs nightly at 06:00 UTC.
• More than one portfolio on the account. The counter reads a single portfolio record.

"Add 3 pieces" is not the same as "portfolio complete"

The Build your portfolio step turns green only when your portfolio is published and has a full name, at least one niche, a profile photo, at least one social profile, and at least three videos. Images don't count toward those three, but videos already on your profile do. So you can tick "Add 3 portfolio pieces" with images and still see the portfolio step unfinished. Any application page lists exactly what's missing.

The profile percentage

Settings scores your profile across 16 fields and lists what's still empty. At 80% or above it counts as done for the getting started step, while the Level 1 profile task only checks name, niches and a contact email — so the percentage can sit below 100% while that task is ticked.

What to do next

1. Publish your portfolio and clear anything flagged on an application page.
2. Connect your email in Settings → Email & outreach.
3. Send your first pitch to finish Level 1. The outreach tabs are a paid feature.
4. Keep adding work until you reach 8 pieces for Level 2.
