You never pay money to UGC Roster
Creators are on the receiving end only. There is no wallet, deposit or top-up. The only charge you could ever see from UGC Roster is an optional subscription to the outreach tools. If anything ever asks you to send money to a brand, that is not how Roster works.
How brands pay you
The amount and the timing are agreed between you and the brand. Roster sets no payment schedule, so nobody here can give you a date.
Most creators are paid directly by the brand — PayPal, Venmo or bank transfer — and the brand records it on Roster, where you confirm it arrived. Roster never touches that money.
A brand can also start a payment through Roster, which appears in your Payouts tab. Automatic release of those payments is switched off at the platform level, so such a payment sits as processing until someone on our team releases it. It will not arrive on its own, and we cannot promise a date. If you are waiting on one, open the support widget (bottom-right) so a person can pick it up.
Setting up your payout account
A Payouts tab appears in your sidebar once a brand has hired you. Until then there is nothing to set up.
- Open the Payouts tab after you have been hired.
- Connect your payout account — usually a Stripe account. (The newer "add bank details directly" option is US-only and limited to a small pilot group.)
- Until an account is connected, a payment has nowhere to land.
Stripe locks a payout account to one country when it is created, and only about 30 countries are mapped. If yours is not one of them, the account falls back to the United States and asks for US banking details with no way to switch. If you hit that, use the support widget.
Checking what you are owed
Deal Tracking shows what is owed versus what has actually been collected. A payment marked as sent is not confirmation your bank has it — payouts can still be returned afterwards, which is why the status labels never promise an arrival date.
Referral earnings
The Referrals tab is Roster's own programme: invite other creators and earn 50% of their payments for their first 12 months, paid NET-15 through our referral partner.
